Basic Requirements for all:

  • You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement except CTI but other languages are a plus)
  • You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship.
    NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa)

Value Creation & Ecosystems
The position of Value Creation & Ecosystems Intern is part of the Growth R&D based in the Innovation Centre in Nijmegen.
Assignment and key activities:

  • Translation of key business challenges and needs into potential technical solutions
  • Horizon scanning for potential solutions that fit within our existing strategic supplier network
  • Support product developers with recipe development and pilot plant trials as needed


Specific Team Requirements:

  • Food Science/ Technology/ Engineering or Natural Sciences (Bio, Biotech, Chemistry) Bachelor or Masters student.
  • Course or interest in business is a plus
  • Course in data handling, statistics is needed
  • You are a self starter and independent worker with good analytical skills and is highly motivated. Scientific driven and hands on with a business mindset and good communication skills.
  • Research and lab experience is a must


Value Engineering
The position of Intern Value Engineering is part of the Continental Europe R&D based in the Innovation Centre in Nijmegen.
You will be part of the Value Engineering and Security of Supply team. The team focuses on product optimizations improving value and reducing cost of our portfolio.
Assignment and key activities:

  • Evaluation current ingredient portfolio and scout for alternatives
  • Support product developers with recipe development, pilot plant and factory trials
  • Horizon scanning for potential solutions that fit within our existing strategic supplier network


Specific Team Requirements:

  • Food Science/ Technology or related field Masters student
  • Classes in Food ingredient functionality or Food physics/ chemistry
  • Research and lab experience is a must
  • You are a self starter and independent worker with good analytical skills and is highly motivated. Scientific driven and hands on with a business mindset and good communication skills.
