As Value Chain Investment Manager, you will lead the strategic factory investment roadmap in collaboration with our production heads, primarily focusing on our Baden factory while supporting the development of other sites worldwide. You will manage an investment portfolio exceeding double-digit millions, ensuring fast and effective project execution while safeguarding stable production and future competitiveness.

With direct leadership responsibility, you will foster entrepreneurial thinking and behavior, drive cultural transformation, and engage with key stakeholders at all levels. Your role will be pivotal in identifying new opportunities, optimizing investments, and executing strategic initiatives to enhance our production capabilities and value chain performance.

You will join the Value Chain organization in Baden, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Technology & Investments, and act as the primary interface to the Executive Committee for Factory Investments.
Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop an investment team of approximately ten project managers
  • Attract, retain, and grow top talent within the team
  • Oversee and ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution of all investment projects
  • Drive the strategic development of our factories in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Lead the annual revision and approval of the Value Chain Investment Roadmap
  • Own and improve the investment process for efficiency and impact
  • Act as Business Process Owner of the Accelleron Investment Approval System, leading regular discussions with the global controlling team
  • Promote technological innovation, automation, and digitalization to achieve an optimal balance between productivity and robustness
  • Foster strategic partnerships with universities, machine OEMs, and key external stakeholders

Your background:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in the machinery industry, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with proven project management expertise
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
