As a UX Research Intern at ResMed, you will work with our Consumer digital and hardware UX Research team which is part of our combined UX and CX team. Let's Talk About Responsibilities:

As a UX Research Intern, you will work directly with talented individuals of all levels.  With guidance from departmental leaders, you will work the following:

  • User research studies, ranging from generative to evaluative using a variety of tools and methods
  • Research templates and processes
  • UXR knowledge sharing: organization and facilitation
  • Monthly “quick insight” sessions for product teams
  • Workshops: Discovery, Empathy, Assumptions Mapping, etc.

The right candidate for our internship will be expected to have awareness or a high level of interest in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the UX Research, User Experience, Customer Experience, and Product Development process and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions.  

This is preferred to be a hybrid role located at our ResMed headquarters in San Diego, CA. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in some on-site team meetings. If applicable, this position is also open to remote candidates.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 OR June 16, 2025 – September 5, 2025
  • Currently enrolled in a program in Human Computer-Interaction (HCI), UX Research, Human Factors, Design Research, Psychology, Anthropology or similar academic studies that will lead to a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Knowledgeable in user research methodology: qualitative and quantitative
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong experiences as demonstrated through projects, research or internships in one or more of the following (UX Research, Design Research).
  • Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed

Pay Range:

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Individual pay decisions will be made by our staffing provider partner and are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Base Pay Range for this position:

$22.50 - $41.50 per hour.
