- 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design
- A portfolio demonstrating extensive knowledge of good UI/UX practices including online web
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma or Sketch
- Proven track record in designing successful user interfaces according to business objectives
- Experience managing end-to-end deployment process prioritizes feature requests during development cycles
- Familiarity with customer segmentation techniques such as Persona modelling
- Experience performing A/B tests or other iterative processes associated with refining functionality
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
- Creative problem-solving skills combined with excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of interacting with APIs is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge or experience with SAP is encouraged
What are the key responsibilities?
The job of the User Experience & Design Manager is to ensure that the user experience of a product or service meets the needs, wants, and expectations of its end users. This includes working with stakeholders to understand their vision and goals, researching user needs and behaviors related to the product, designing user interfaces (UIs) to meet those needs, and testing the usability of the interface designs. The UX Design & Usability Lead works within a team environment to develop these designs and usability tests in order to deliver a positive experience for users. You must be able to:
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs through empathy sessions, market research, surveys, and interviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design solutions with business goals and user needs.
- Effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders, gather feedback, and drive design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, flowcharts, process maps, and storyboards that meet accessibility and usability standards.
- Lead the UX/UI design process from research and concept development to final implementation and testing.
- Conduct usability testing throughout development cycles to identify and address potential design issues and ensure products meet end-user requirements.
- Perform user research and testing to validate design concepts and measure their success.
- Utilize analytics to gain insights into user behavior and develop actionable strategies.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to translate their vision into meaningful design decisions.
- Create documentation, such as personas and journey maps, to define how specific user tasks should be addressed within applications or services.
- Work effectively with diverse teams to achieve challenging design objectives.
- Apply an analytical and synthetic mindset to approach problems methodically.
- Demonstrate influencing and negotiation skills to drive design initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders.
