What you'll do...
Job Summary:
Build machine learning models for financial applications such as forecasting and anomaly detection. Develop methodologies to scale up the solution to handle millions of time series data simultaneously. Graduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or experience in an analytics related field.
About the Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
What you’ll do:
- Big Data processing and feature engineering
- Training machine learning models through Cloud Services including Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure
- Time series forecasting, anomaly detection, LLM tuning, using sound statistical and deep learning methods
- Deployment of machine learning models to cloud platforms to serve internal customers at scale
What you’ll Bring:
- Hands on experience of designing and training large DL models on GPU farm
- Deep understanding of optimization theory, the inner working of neural network, attention architecture
- Proven records of solving business problems using transformer based neural networks
- Familiar with common DL packages such as Pytorch, Keras, Tensorflow · Strong software development skills in languages such as Python, SQL, R, Scala, Java
- Economic background is a plus

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Reston, Virginia US-07759:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09413:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
