The opportunity:

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our team! In this role, you'll support the Underwriting Division with key administrative tasks, ensuring top-notch service and timely delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Be aware of the annual business plan for the Underwriting Division/s your role supports
  • Support underwriting through general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service within agreed turnaround times.
  • Input data accurately on relevant internal and external systems to maintain correct and up to date information.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to broker/client requests in accordance with service standards to provide an excellent customer focus
  • Prepare relevant reports and back up information to support the team to assist the business.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver superior service standards as part of the extended service team
  • Deal with all Credit Control and Underwriting queries within agreed timescales

Your Profile:

Preferred Competencies/Skills:

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English are required.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to recognize and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Strong team player with the capability to work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems, managing both speed and accuracy.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the department’s operations and individual team roles.
  • Knowledge of QBE structures and activities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
