Job Description Summary:

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring for a full-time (32 hours/week) Ultrasound Technologist, which consists of two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift per week; weekend rotation is every 4th weekend. One 10-hour on-call shift is required every 2 weeks.
The Ultrasonographer independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. He/She reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.

1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited training program.  Must have passed the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).   Must have passed the abdominal or OB/GYN and physics/instrumentation. 1-2 yrs previous ultrasound experience (clinical training acceptable).  BLS Certification.
