AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work-life integration.  Our hybrid model combines a mix of in-person (at client site or AlixPartners office) and remote working.  Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

What you’ll do

As the UI/UX Lead Designer at AlixPartners, your primary responsibility is to ensure the creation and design of user centric platforms, by doing them yourself or by fostering a team environment that enables an innovative mindset. These platforms provide value to both our internal practitioners and external clients. This role requires a deep sense of ownership and a commitment to a user-centric approach.

To excel in this role, you need to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, team members and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
  • Experience in leading design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  • Portfolio that demonstrates visual design skills, logical reasoning, creative thinking, & attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment. English is required
  • Understanding of user interface patterns and best practices for SaaS and desktop/responsive web design
  • Experience with startup product development, user-personas definition, & MVP concept

What you’ll need 

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or related
  • 7 or more years of experience as a UX/UI designer
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Deep knowledge of Interaction Design
  • Experience in Wireframing and Prototyping
  • Experience leading visual and responsive design efforts for business/SaaS products
  • Experience working with Agile & Scrum
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
  • Must become familiar with, and promote and abide by, our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners’ Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
