EquipmentShare is searching for a Treasury Operations Specialist for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.

Job Summary: The Treasury Operations Specialist will support the Treasury team by managing key operational activities to ensure efficiency, compliance, and accuracy in cash management and payment processes. This role will focus on bank relationships, payment method optimization, unclaimed property maintenance, and M&A Support.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Bank Relationship Management:
- Serve as a main contact for bank-related inquiries and issues.
- Manage daily processing of blocks and filters to ensure accurate and secure payment activities.
- Coordinate bank account maintenance, including opening, closing, and updating account details.
Bank Fee Analysis:
- Review fees charged by banks and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with banking partners to negotiate fee structures and improve cost efficiency.
Approval Verification and Payment Method Review:
- Review payment requests to ensure all necessary approvals have been obtained prior to disbursement.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and escalate any discrepancies.
- Analyze current payment methods and compare them against preferred methods to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement efficient and cost-effective payment solutions.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support:
- Assist in treasury-related activities for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes.
- Ensure accurate setup and transition of banking and payment systems for acquired entities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align treasury operations with M&A objectives.
Unclaimed Property Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate records of unclaimed property and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the third-party vendor managing our unclaimed property.
- Assist in filing unclaimed property reports and resolving related inquiries.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of treasury activities and transactions for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Prepare reports on payment processing trends, bank relationship updates, and unclaimed property metrics.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance treasury operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with treasury management systems.
- Knowledge of payment processes, banking systems, and unclaimed property regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or a related role.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
