The MBTA is Mobility Center in Boston that will assist seniors and people with disabilities in accessing and using a wide range of transportation services in the Boston area. Cutting-edge support services are offered at the Center. MTM Transit is looking for qualified candidates to be part of an exciting program and a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Please note that this position is in office, but also has 2-10 events a month that you will use Boston's public transportation to attend.
What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Transit Coordinator is tasked with supporting the Program Director, Travel Training Manager, and staff in providing training to individuals on the utilization of transportation options. Duties include general clerical, data entry, processing service applications and manage communications for the site. The Transit Coordinator will assist with technology training, trip planning, reduced fare applications, marking and tethering, remote route checks, and other transit responsibilities as needed.
This position will sit on our Boston, MA office.
What You’ll Do:

Assist Travel Trainers in providing services to potential and actual trainees

Assist Travel Trainers in performing outreach activities (2-10 events a month)

Schedule training at the time and location of the specific routes requested

Perform marking and tethering as needed

Complete all reports and paperwork

Perform transit checks and route inspections

Create personalized lesson plans, as needed

Must conform to MTM’s HIPAA standards
What You’ll need:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
-
An Associate degree in Education, Human Services, or Healthcare preferred
-
Experience working with disability and/or senior service community organizations
-
Familiarity with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Hourly Rate Range:
Min Rate: $23
Max Rate: $25
