We have multiple Transfer Agency Team Lead opportunities open within our FNZ APAC Transfer Agency team, supporting the manager to handle smooth daily operational tasks within a designated functional area, and its associated operations team. This role is also responsible for the delivery of service from the team to our clients and their underlying investors on behalf of FNZ.
The role includes accountabilities for all day-to-day Transfer Agency processes, regulatory, and financial risks; drive change initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of changes to meet FNZ compliance standards. You will also deliver accurate and compliant services to meet the standards in accordance with clients’ and internal KPIs.
FNZ TA looks after the Legal Fund Registers on behalf of our client. It is not a custodian. This means no assets are held in our name as nominee.
The specific responsibilities include:
Process and Operation

Assist the Operations Manager in managing daily operations and processes to ensure smoothy execution

Deal with stakeholders and team members to address business needs and perform quality control on UAT for system enhancements.

Support and contribute to the delivery of technology solutions that meet the objectives of the business, meet service delivery standards and is compliant for future changes, upgrades, and enhancements.

Ensure functional area’s resilience within the first line of defense; and deliver timely and accurate reporting to management and clients.

Assist to manage KPI/KRI delivery in relation to customer contractual terms, taking action to prevent failure, through control and oversight of the activities completed.

Manage the error management process, including management of major errors, escalation, analysis, and reporting; Support the management of functional area’s risk management, covering Control Attestation, Risk Event and Breach Reporting.

Ensure appropriate engagement for Audits, Client visits or any material meetings or engagements

Actively participate in team governance and corporate service meetings, change meetings to ensure effective outcomes and escalations, appropriate understanding, actions, testing and readiness.

Support the functional area in driving the right client engagement and behaviors, as outlined in the SDD and TOM, to deliver first class service to our clients.
Leadership

Assist managing and support junior staff to deliver consistency of control, risk management and client engagement across related operational areas.

Support and lead the team to ensure exceptional delivery, through accurate, timely and controlled service to both internal and external clients.

Lead and oversee development of the functional area through, development / training plans, skill base management, feedback, and coaching.

Contribute to and challenge the Operational Transformation Program and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring milestones are met.

Encourage FNZ culture of collaboration and ethical decision-making, meeting the FNZ conduct standards and focus on collaboration, debate, openness, and engagement for staff.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?

A degree, or equivalent, in a finance, business or numerate discipline.

A minimum of 5 years operations experience within the Transfer Agency industry
-
Experience of training and developing junior team members is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of Unit Trusts & PRS.
-
Extensive technical operational knowledge covering the functions under role holders’ remit.

Change management experience.

Strong understand of risk/compliance policies and processes for a financial service business.

Knowledge of the Malaysian financial services
