This role is designed for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in network engineering. As a Trainee Network Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers to learn and apply essential network technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Support network monitoring and troubleshooting tasks to ensure optimal network performance.
- Participate in network design and implementation projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Help document network configurations and procedures.
- Engage in training sessions and self-study to enhance network engineering skills.
- Contribute to the resolution of network issues and escalate when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high levels of service and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Internship or coursework related to network engineering is a plus.
- Availability to work in a flexible schedule as required.
