Over a period of 24 months, you will gain comprehensive insights into the global tasks and activities within our Legal function. By working in different departments and at various locations, as well as collaborating in national and international expert and project teams, you will get to know the workings and processes of a legal department in a corporation that operates internationally. You will be supported by experienced colleagues from the Legal function and accompanied by a manager as a mentor.
An integral part of the trainee program in the Legal function is also a stay abroad. You can apply your professional, methodological, and personal skills in practice and develop them further on-the-job and off-the-job in seminars and training sessions. You will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other Evonik trainees from different areas and functions, thus building and continuously expanding your personal network in the Evonik Group. This is how you lay the foundation for a successful career start in our Legal function!

For a complete application, in addition to a cover letter and CV, please also submit employer and degree certificates as well as current grade overviews from your studies and legal clerkship, if applicable. You can expect feedback on your application by the end of April 2025. If your application convinces us, you will receive an online test in the first step. In the second step, we will get to know each other for the first time via Teams.
The entire application process, including selection interviews and a final decision, should be completed by the end of June.

In the Legal function, we bundle the technical competencies and tasks from the areas of Group Legal, Group Compliance, Group Intellectual Property Management and Group Audit in the Evonik Group worldwide.
In addition to providing worldwide advice on all corporate, economic and public law issues (Group Legal) and supporting the operating units in all IP-relevant topics from the initial idea to the market launch of new products and solutions (Group IP Management), but also ensuring general compliance requirements are met throughout the Group (Group Compliance) and providing independent auditing and objective advice to continuously improve management and business processes (Group Audit).

You have passed your first and second state law exams with above-average grades

You are interested in economic issues and taking on responsibility

You have already gained initial practical experience (for example through internships or during your legal clerkship) in an internationally operating commercial law firm or an industrial company

Fluent written and spoken German and English, ideally expanded through a stay abroad; mobility

Your strengths include a solution-oriented approach, a sense of responsibility and commitment, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
