STV's Virginia operation is looking for a Traffic Engineering Specialist to add to the team. This position offers excellent potential for career advancement and growth as this individual would assist other senior staff in guiding transportation agencies in Virginia and DC. We are looking for a passionate & determined entry-level engineer. Candidate will join a team of young engineers and provide technical design and operational analysis.
Design responsibilities include:
- Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the VDOT and other transportation agencies
- Developing design plans including signing & pavement marking, traffic signal design, and communications
- Design utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (depending upon Client)
- Traffic engineering operational analysis (VISSIM, Synchro, HCS)
- Street Light Design (+)
- Traffic Signal Design
- Maintenance of Traffic Design (MOT+)
- Traffic Signal Timings
- Signing & Pavement Marking Design
- Engineering Design Cost estimates & Quantity Takeoffs
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 2+ years' experience
- Exposure to MicroStation & AutoCAD drafting software
- Exposure to traffic analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Compensation Range:
$71,024.64 - $94,699.51
