Job Description
Join the Trade & Working Capital Operations team as the Regional Head of Americas Operations, providing strategic oversight and functional responsibility for all related functions.
As an Executive Director and lead on the Trade & Working Capital Operations team, you will report to the Global Head of Trade and working Capital Services. In this role, you will be responsible for leading operations managers handling Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, and Structured Trade products within JPMorgan's Payments business. You will locally manage a team of ~35 employees to ensure efficient, timely & error free execution of transactions for our clients. You will also influence a global team of ~100 professionals and will be accountable for the operations functions carried out in the Global Corporate Center's as well as the operations centers in Latin America servicing Trade & Working Capital clients.
Your role involves driving continuous improvement, reducing risk, and mentoring team members to foster development. You will contribute to strategy development, support key initiatives focused on risk mitigation, oversee governance and controls, and collaborate with global teams and various departments. Additionally, you'll assess operating models, manage risk, engage stakeholders, and participate in data management initiatives to enhance decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations, compliance, risk & control management, exceptional data analysis and leadership skills.
Job responsibilities:

  • Head of Americas Trade & Working Capital Operations team, ensuring effective oversight of Core & Structured Trade processes and controls, and execution of Payments Operations management agenda
  • Cultivate a proactive risk and control culture with proven evaluation strategies and change management protocols
  • Foster an inclusive culture to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent, enhancing employee engagement
  • Promote continuous learning and development within the team
  • Partner with colleagues across the firm, including legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology, to drive consistent operational practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strong focus on quality, delivery and client experience
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with Sanctions and Regulatory changes impacting Trade Finance
  • Lead interactions with audit, compliance


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 12+ years of experience in managing operations and/or risk & controls
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field/Management degree
  • Proven experience leading global functions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and developing control frameworks
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Self-starter, with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
