Job Description
We are looking for Trade Marketing professional who will help bring the creativity, imagination and fun of LEGO® play to more kids, families and shoppers in the LATAM market.
The role will be responsible of leading the in-store (POS) execution nationwide. If you are eager to create, develop, execute and measure retail marketing activations and materials, then please apply!
Bring your execution expertise and creativity to define and implement innovative and winning retail strategies for LATAM markets that will enhance the LEGO® brand shopper experience while strengthening our partnership with key stakeholders (customers, IP partners, agencies).
Core Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end the merchandiser’s agencies:
- a) Define and execute annual plan of merchandisers’ support for Mexico BU (headcount definition, stores’ coverage, budget planning and tracking) delivering consistent efficiencies and processes improvement (Ensure right tracking tools and scorecards are in place).
- b) Track and evaluate results of the merchandisers program in terms of execution and expertise; c) be in touch with the in-store competitive landscape and market trends to recommend new ideas to reach more shoppers;
- d) develop season coverage and support plan by store cluster with merchandisers’ agency;
Define winning pillars for in-store activations and coordinate all in-store expert demonstrators programs.
- a) integrate latest shopper insights and learnings to improve ROI;
- b) recommend new ways to improve conversion; implement effective promotional mechanics (Gift with purchase) in key occasions (Children’s Day & Season);
- c) support customer events that require additional merchandisers or expert demonstrators (i.e. Night sales).
Planning and execution of all brand footprint/visibility programs in POS across channels (Hypers, Department, Toy Specialist) to win in key occasions and toy industry drive periods.
- This includes implementation of: POP material, 3D models, model boxes, additional exhibitions, and maintenance of homesites with global visibility.
- Additional expectation is to close win-win negotiations for top stores in top cities to improve the brand footprint, experience, and fundamentals (win more space, better locations, best in class engagement, etc.) Also, lead installation of all POP and displays for season annexes.
- Finally, identify possible savings and optimizations behind fixed operation costs (shipments of materials, warehousing, expert demonstrators’ coverage, etc).
Trade Marketing point of contact for 3-4 national accounts (channel TBC). Collaborate with the corresponding KAMS to define a winning Joint Business Plan and ensure customized support that enhances the shopping experience.
Trade Marketing champion of 1 or 2 company tentpoles to execute flawlessly in both MX and Brazil.
- Define the support plan by channel and customer and align it with the different stakeholders (marketing, sales, operations).
- To achieve this, brief the right suppliers to bring innovative ideas to maximize conversion in POS since launch.
Collaborate with IP partners to create best in class synergies for theatrical releases and content.
- Define support plan by customer and timeline of additional Exhibitions, while focusing on excellence in execution.

The team is split into Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Digital Marketing.
This position falls within the Trade Marketing area and is a full-time position. The role reports to the LATAM Sr. Trade Marketing Manager and has no direct reports.
The successful candidate will be accountable for Field Sales and key projects within the Trade Marketing team. It is a critical role focused on right planning, in-store negotiation and execution with excellence. This position plays an “enabling” role to succeed and win in the Toy category’s drive periods.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business Administration.
- Demonstrated ability in a high-impact consumer goods company, or with previous experience working for a large brand or events marketing or related. Consistent track record in marketing development and activation to drive demand, with examples provided.
- A very strong and agile collaborator across subject areas to effectively steer a wide range of partners.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large data sets to distill insights
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with strong ability to prioritize deliverables.
- Experienced in planning, with strong organizational and execution abilities.
- Availability to travel Nationwide for store checks.
- Fluent English
