Trade Finance Analyst plays key role in managing Trade Expenditures (TREX), especially calculation of TREX accruals as well as reconciling related Balance Sheet accounts in BlackLine. He / She supports implementation of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system as well as maintenance of the system as Key User. He / She ensures right governance and proper control for Trade payments couple with 100% correct and timely pricing updates in the designated systems.

What would be your key responsibilities?

The Trade Finance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring correct financial reporting and control around trade in the designated systems for each country in Nordics by:

  • Making calculation of TREX accruals in close cooperation with KAMs.

  • Ensuring correct financial reporting (e.g. correctness of bookings in trade lines of P&L).

  • Reconciliation & control of selected Balance Sheet Accounts in BlackLine as per Mars policies.

  • Preparing yearly budget allocation in trade systems.

  • Ensuring trade budgets are managed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail in the systems.

  • Ensuring correct customer master data, working with customer service & market business partners.

  • Supporting implementation and maintenance of TPM system as Key User

  • prepare required trade accounting deliverables (e.g. ad-hoc analysis, auditors requests, other).

  • Supporting Market Business partners with preparation of trade reviews.

  • Answering to trade accounting queries.

  • Supporting validation of Trade payments.

  • Making verification of invoices and providing instructions to process subsequent credit notes.

  • Setting up and managing price list and promotions.

  • Ensuring 100% correct and timely pricing updates in the designated systems.

  • Analyzing and negotiating resolution of rebate audit queries received from retailers.

  • Partnering with sales and finance teams in query resolution and deductions management.

  • Ensuring all documents are timely approved.

  • Performing reconciliation between finance systems.

  • Working in multilingual environment.

  • Participating in relevant project and initiatives.

  • Updating trade accounting policies and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/business administration.

  •  6+ years of professional experience in accounting & finance.

  • Work experience in Order to Cash / TREX, especially connected with customer’s rebates, sales support or order management is welcome.

  • Ability to be exposed to finance senior management and work autonomously.

  • Ability to manage internal / external audit requests,

  • Advanced Excel is required.

  • Strong focus on process ownership, problem solving and collaboration.

  • Fluent English (Swedish/Danish is nice to have).
