Join our team as a Toolmaker, where you'll work with EDM equipment, program using CAD/CAM systems, and apply advanced CNC milling skills to support tool room needs. Be part of an innovative environment with opportunities to expand your expertise; apply today!
What You Will Do
- Set up and operate CNC equipment, including EDM Die Sink, Wire EDM, milling, turning, polishing, and precision grinding using CAD/CAM data.
- Perform high-precision work on complex components with tight tolerances.
- Load, verify, and run tooling and programs efficiently.
- Develop expertise by learning four new skills from the tool room skills matrix.
- Monitor and maintain tooling throughout production runs.
- Conduct in-process inspections and document results.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and oversee production tooling performance.
What You Will Bring
- Education & Certification: High school diploma required; working toward a machining certificate preferred.
- Experience & Skills:
- CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Manual and automatic grinding, including jig and profile grinding.
- Strong computer skills and ability to interpret engineering graphics.
- Basic math skills, including decimals, formulas, and data plotting.
- Abilities:
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Read and follow procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and toolroom teams.
- Lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and differentiate colors.
- Use precision inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators, digital height gauges, etc.).
