About the role

As part of the Distribution Team at our Berlin office, you will manage a defined client base of cinema exhibitors and be responsible for distributing our theatrical releases as well as recording and documenting schedules in our internal booking system.

You will focus on:

  • Managing our accounts (cinema chains and independents) and implementing our release strategy while negotiating screening terms with cinemas.

  • Maintaining regular communication with numerous independent exhibitors and foster ongoing customer relationships, including on-site visits.

  • Conducting weekly negotiations with your clients regarding the continued screening of our films and documenting the results.

  • Overseeing the shipment of film prints and promotional materials, create shipping lists for film copies and promotional materials, and perform regular return checks.

  • Collecting daily visitor and revenue figures, record them in the internal booking system, and prepare and maintain special revenue statistics.

  • Planning and booking films for use in film series, special events, and formats such as previews, screening circuits, or open-air showings.

  • Coordinating the distribution of promotional materials in cinemas (posters, flyers, standees, banners, etc.).

  • Supporting the finance team in monitoring invoicing and payment cycles.

  • Participating in industry-relevant events and representing our distribution team at trade shows and national film festivals, maintaining ongoing dialogue with bookers.

  • Collaborating with the team to develop sales plans for our titles and facilitate festival screenings. Additionally, you will register release dates with the VDF and Comscore.

What you will bring:

  • You have a passion for film and cinema as well as a basic knowledge of current theatrical releases and believe in the power of cinema.

  • You have relevant professional experience in distribution, ideally in the cinema, media, or film distribution industry.

  • You are a team player who also stands out with a confident demeanor, an independent and reliable work style, and the ability to stay organized even in stressful situations.

  • You enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skils

  • You have strong negotiation skills and handle conflict situations with confidence.

  • You communicate professionally with internal and external contacts, possess fluent German skills, and have excellent English proficiency.

  • You have strong MS Office skills and a general understanding of booking systems (MICA, Maccs) and other IT programs, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
