Theatre Operations Manager - Blue Man Group Orlando

Blue Man Group Orlando is looking for a full-time Theatre Operations Manager.
The Theatre Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all Front of House Operations, managing staff, serving as main liaison with the public and Company Management team, as well as supervision of the Front of House Department and Cleaning Crew. Additionally, the Theatre Operations Manager ensures all theatre related facility concerns are addressed in a timely fashion. This position sets the tone for a high level of customer service, a dedication to a safe working environment, and a detail-oriented approach to day-to-day work. Excellent communication skills and accounting competence are required for this position.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
· Facilitate maintenance on any building system issues and maintenance needs;
· Oversee security alarm codes, lock changes, false alarms,and camera system and service calls;
· Assess the need for and schedule repairs, maintenance and service calls for patron & staff restrooms;
· Maintain and post all valid operational licenses, inspections and permits. Serve as liaison for fire and building inspections;
· Oversee merchandise credit card equipment issues, contractual obligations, supplies, etc.;
· Work with Front of House Supervisorto ensure staff is fully trained;
· Hire, train, evaluate, and manage the complete employment cycle of the Front of House Supervisor, Front of House Department and Cleaning Crew. Mentor, develop and support supervisors to ensure they are managing the work environment, morale, conflict resolution;
· Review and respond to nightly Front of House performance reports and related staff notes from the Stage Management Performance Report;
· Monitor and manage expenses related to cleaning supplies and equipment;
· Monitor and maintain the comfort of the theater audience;
· Serve as point person in managing day-to-day operations of Blue Man Group Orlando facility;
· Serve as liaison between Production and Facilities for all theater facility issues, repairs and emergencies;
· Communicate regular facility updates to local community;
· Maintain theatre signage and seating order and repair needs;
· Ensure garbage and waste removal systems are maintained according to the needs of the facility;
· Oversee security and service calls;
· Order and ensure the installation of internal lighting in all public areas of theatre;
· Assess the need for and schedule repairs, maintenance and service calls for patron and staff restrooms;
· Maintain and post all valid operational licenses, inspections and permits. Serve as contact person for fire and building inspections;
· Oversee merchandise credit card equipment issues, contractual obligations, supplies, etc;
· Oversee technical aspects of in-house communication systems, including two-way radios and phone/voice mail, reporting any defects immediately to Company Management;
· Oversee management of all Front of House, Cleaning, Retail and Concessions operations. Ensure efficient work practices, supportive employee and volunteer relations and friendly customer service;
· Oversee the development of new Front of House and Cleaning show tasks, policies and procedures as necessary;
· Manage safety programs for all operations personnel;
· Oversee compliance with fire codes including upkeep of fire safety logbook, sprinklers, extinguishers, etc;
· Oversee customer service policies and audience relations;
· Troubleshoot and manage audience issues;
· All other work-related duties as assigned.

· Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support;
· At least 5 years of previous experience or in a similar environment;
· Working knowledge of Microsoft applications;
· Previous leadership experience;
· Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies or a similar field; or equivalent relevant work experience;
· Ability to obtain OSHA 30 course completion card;
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Ability to clearly and effectively communicate viaheadset;
· Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays;
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: climbing, crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 50lbs, working with limited to no visibility; Full list of essential functions will be sent in the offer.
