Description
PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Tester, will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the quality and performance of software applications and systems. This role involves collaborating with development teams to understand requirements, creating detailed test plans, and documenting test results. The Test Engineer plays a critical role in identifying defects and ensuring that products meet specified requirements before they are released to users.
Responsibilities
• Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Design automated and manual testing processes to cover functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Execute test cases and report defects using test management tools.
• Perform both manual and automated testing to identify software defects.
• Conduct performance testing and analyze results to ensure systems meet performance criteria.
• Log and track defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner.
• Provide detailed documentation of defects, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
• Communicate test results and findings to the development team and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Implement and manage testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Ensure that software products meet quality standards and functional requirements.
• Assist in developing and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to testing.
• Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
Preferred Qualifications: ISTQB, CSTE
