The Mission
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) asset, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. XVA, PFE, Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). This asset is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe and Americas, with aprox. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.
IPA HA (HedgeAccounting) is a dedicated squad responsible for in-house implementation of the HedgeAccounting module, tailor built for Group treasury department in ING as the main stakeholder.
As Test Manager you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, like IT teams, Business users, Product Owners, Release Managers and Production Support teams, in order to align and streamline on test governance, planning and execution for the different technical and functional deliveries. Our team is driven by a customer perspective and fosters a diverse and contemporary workplace.
Your day to day
Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. The following will be the main responsibilities of the role:

Define the test strategy and supporting test phases and test gates

Manage test execution, reporting and sign-offs gathering from stakeholders
-
Identify and report test impediments, key teams dependencies and issues preventing the execution of the test plan under the bigger delivery plan

Manage stakeholders (business and IT) during release cycles with regards to testing activities (including escalations and impediment resolution)

Collaborate closely with the Release Manager to ensure testing is executed timely within the release preparations

Coordinate the delivery of the testing activities and testing initiatives (either internal or outsourced)
-
Manage the defects tracking and remediation / resolution; coordinate cross teams for retest and validations

Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to improve test automation across the system landscape (incl. definition of test automation strategy)

Support efficient change by providing impactful analysis on cross domain, end-to-end, complex environments

Plan and execute test phases for large programs deliveries (migrations, integrations, new feature development)

Own the test environments and manage their overall state (environment availability, ensure needed component versions deployed, ensure needed test data loaded)

Synchronize multiple testing initiatives onto the same environments

Identify extra test environment needs and facilitate their setup/delivery

Stimulate a continuous delivery culture in terms of services and working conditions
What you’ll bring to the team

Experience:

7+ years of Testing/Quality Assurance / Test Automation experience
-
2+ years of Test Management experience

Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery

Experience with BDD and test automation frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Karate)

Experience with relational databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server)

Experience with API testing and tooling (Postman and the like)

Familiarity with source control, CI/CD and documentation tools. On our side we are using Azure DevOps, Git, Maven and Confluence

Prior experience in test strategy definition and execution

Working knowledge of Linux

Ability to define and document processes for test environments and data management

Strong analytical skills, proactivity, and ability to work in cross-border international teams

Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

Experience in the Financial Markets domain or statistical analysis

Experience with large system migrations (like major versions upgrades)

ISTQB certification

Experience or affinity with IT Security concepts
