Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Lead to oversee all stages of testing for a cutting-edge data visualization platform. This individual will be responsible for leading testing efforts from test script creation to test execution and defect resolution, with a strong emphasis on automation and frequent regression testing. This role also requires supporting all user testing activities to ensure a seamless user experience.
Location: Hybrid (Ft. Meade, MD Area). While the primary work location will be hybrid, we are seeking candidates who can readily attend client meetings and access client networks in Annapolis, MD, as needed. The client is anticipated to relocate to the Ft. Meade area in the future. This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel to Annapolis as required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire testing lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, strategies, and procedures based on Agile methodologies and user story acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain detailed test scripts and test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Execute test scripts, analyze test results, and effectively document and track defects.
- Champion and drive test automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and other stakeholders, to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely resolution of defects.
- Support and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), gathering user feedback and incorporating it into the testing process.
- Oversee and manage interoperability testing (interfaces, data quality, etc.) to guarantee seamless system integration and data accuracy.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Mentor and guide junior testing team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, information technology, or a related engineering or IT discipline; or equivalent experience (5+ years).
- 5+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies and tools on at least one software development program, including defining and testing user story acceptance criteria.
- 5+ years of experience converting user stories and acceptance criteria into effective test scripts.
- Proven ability to lead and manage testing efforts for complex software systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; ability to effectively facilitate discussions and analysis with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, directing, and managing interoperability testing (interfaces, data quality, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience as a Test Lead on a data visualization-type implementation (preferred).
- Familiarity with intelligence databases and data feeds (preferred).
- US Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $120,000.00 - $160,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
