Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with a background in test management for minor IS-projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for test planning and execution on the customer side while ensuring effective follow-up on tests conducted by suppliers. This role requires structured work habits, proactive engagement, and strong collaboration skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end testing of telecom systems (NOC, switches, routers), ensuring alignment with quality standards and managing test teams. Ensure quality control, automate tests, and manage defect resolution.
- The candidate will coordinate between cross-functional teams to manage test cycles, report bugs, and ensure product readiness. Excellent communication skills are essential to provide clear reporting to stakeholders and coordinate testing activities across departments.
- Develop a comprehensive general test plan for the project, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Conduct detailed planning and structuring of acceptance and regression tests, utilizing TestDirector and its modules.
- Actively follow up with test personnel in the project to ensure efficient and effective test runs.
- Continuously coordinate with the individual responsible for the test environment to ensure readiness for testing.
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders to facilitate smooth test execution and communication.
- Structure and manage test data for all involved systems and interfaces.
- Monitor and follow up with suppliers regarding their testing activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Provide continuous status reports, including risk evaluations, to project management and stakeholders.
Must Have Skills:
- Overall with 10+years of experience in test management or as a Test Lead, preferably in minor IS-projects.
- Familiarity with working in a structured environment and managing test processes.
- Experience with TestDirector or similar test management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience working with Telenor or similar organizations is a plus.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate risks associated with testing and project delivery.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and quality.
Qualification:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical degree.
