Job Description
Test Development Engineers at Renesas play a crucial role in the semiconductor industry, working closely with the engineering team to develop and implement innovative test solutions for cutting-edge products. These engineers collaborate with the applications team to shape device datasheets through in-depth characterization and product evaluation, ensuring that Renesas products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the entire new production introduction (NPI) process, including feasibility studies and design for test (DFT) strategies.
- Lead hardware design and device debugging efforts to ensure robust test solutions.
- Conduct temperature characterization and other critical evaluations to optimize device performance.
- Provide long-term support for offshore production, ensuring seamless operations.
- Ensure that all devices meet Renesas' high-quality standards before shipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, yield, and reduce testing costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any test-related challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Electrical/Computer engineering or Computer science.
- Knowledge of Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal circuits.
- Experience in programming languages such as C++, basic, Perl, python, etc.
- Knowledge in testing and collecting data on circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Basic understanding of hardware design and strong debug/troubleshooting experience
Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is $94K- $120K. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
