Skills/Experience
- BSEE or BSME or BS computer engineering preferably Master's degree in one of these disciplines.
- Expertise in hardware and software development to test AMAT assemblies and modules.
- Cognizant of safety and able to design test equipment with safety first in mind.
- Ability to read engineering drawings & perform test fixtures design and develop engineering drawings user manuals for the automated test equipment.
- Automated test equipment development and experience knowledgeable of electromechanical assemblies and sensor technologies (vacuum sensors, accelerometers, thermocouple etc.)
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal & communication skills. Pays attention to details able to work in lab environment.
- Ability to drive or fly to CM locations frequently to provide support, install new equipment or perform preventative maintenance on install base
- Able to work independently and in team environment with limited supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype, tools and test fixtures.
- Provide test fixture support on all installed base test fixtures
- Collaborate with new product engineers, capture test requirements, good communication skills and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HW and SW for automated test equipment
- Develop project requirements, design, create BOM, order parts, develop build instructions for the lab Tech to fabricate, Debug and deploy.
- Expertise in problem solving, and ability to prioritize while working on multiple projects in parallel.
- 15% business travel
- Provide TF sustaining support for deployed fixtures to ensure minimal down time and customer impact. Coordinates/Performs test fixture PM and Calibration activities as scheduled and follows-up on OOT issues as required.
- Interfaces with other test engineers and BU customers to coordinate the deployment of new test fixtures. Begin evaluating, designing and project managing own test fixture projects and solicit assistance as needed. Documents and tracks deployment issues to closure and initiates appropriate engineering change request as required.
- Uses basic engineering and DFx principles to estimate and reduce test fixture development costs and improve delivered fixture quality;
- Develops and uses test procedures. Assists with the definition of test specifications with design, software, and manufacturing engineering. May assist in the coordination and/or execution of test fixture sourcing activities.
- Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; may take corrective/continuous improvement actions.
- Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Participates in the development and maintenance of new and existing business processes; updates as necessary to ensure current practices are documented.
- Determines root cause and corrective action analysis for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required.
- Performs Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis when working with New Product/Fixture Development.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
