Job Overview:
The Telesales Consultant, Wholesale Accounts is responsible for consistently achieving 100% of Sales and Gross Profit goals. This will be accomplished by calling a minimum of 80% of the assigned territory during each call cycle and utilizing a consultative sales approach. This position will negotiate competitive pricing within established limits or contracts, re-engage with inactive accounts, and ensure customers are satisfied by addressing their post-sale questions and concerns. This role will be focused on driving sales growth through promotional campaigns and fostering strong customer relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contacts a minimum of 80% of customers within an assigned territory each month to meet sales and gross profit goals through consultative selling

Utilizes provided tools to target growth within the Independent Medical Distributor and Independent Retail Pharmacy market segments

Stays informed on promotional programs, competitive products, and and merchandising-marketing practices through the intranet and regular vendor training sessions

Works with internal departments (Credit, Customer Service, and Verification) to assist customers with order status, product returns, pricing discrepancies and inquiries on account balance

Places orders over the phone and resolves any after-sales inquiries, including product-related technical questions

Partners with Inventory Management, NSI Group, Technical Support, and others to help customers order products not typically stocked by the company

Collaborates with Field Sales Consultants and other internal teams to uncover customer needs and improve satisfaction while driving sales and gross profit

Assists in collecting past due balances by offering alternative payment methods

Participates in sales meetings, training programs, and industry conventions

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

Excellent telephone etiquette with the ability to manage high volume of inbound and outbound calls and email communications

Ability to effectively answer inquiries and resolve disputes

Ability to learn applicable computer systems

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically, 4 or more years of related experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically, High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training

Bachelor’s degree preferred

COMPENSATION:
The posted wage for this position is $15.00 per hour which is the expected starting base salary. This position is eligible for an incentive and commission not reflected in the posted wage subject to the achievement of the plan.
