Job Description
The Technical Writer is responsible for developing clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that supports Experian's products and services. This role involves working closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams to gather information and ensure the accuracy and usability of documentation. The Technical Writer will create user manuals, online help, release notes, and other technical documents that enhance the user experience and facilitate the effective use of the company's offerings, with the ultimate goal to provide users with the information they need to understand and utilise our products and services as efficiently as possible.
Responsibilities:
- You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to Client Experience Manager.
- Research, write, and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and online help systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Develop and maintain documentation templates and standards.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect product updates and changes.
- Ensure documentation complies with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist in the creation of training materials and tutorials.
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
Qualifications
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' proven experience as a Technical Writer.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to understand and interpret technical information and translate it into clear documentation.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in creating video tutorials and other multimedia content.
