We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Writer to strengthen our technical sales game to our team here at CG Infinity India.
1. Writing & Communication Skills
- Clarity & Conciseness – Writing clear, structured, and user-friendly content.
- Technical Accuracy – Translating complex technical concepts into simple, digestible documentation.
- Audience Analysis – Adjusting content for developers, end-users, or business stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Interviewing – Extracting information from software engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Storytelling & Use Cases – Explaining software features through real-world applications.
2. Technical Documentation Skills
- User Manuals & Guides – Creating installation guides, troubleshooting manuals, and user documentation.
- API Documentation – Writing API references, SDK guides, and RESTful API documentation using tools like Swagger or Postman.
- Software Release Notes – Communicating software updates and feature changes.
- Code Documentation – Understanding and documenting code logic, best practices, and software architecture.
- Knowledge Base & Help Center Management – Structuring FAQs and self-service documentation.
3. Tools & Technologies
- Documentation Tools – Proficiency in Confluence, MadCap Flare, DITA XML, or Paligo.
- Version Control – Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket for maintaining docs alongside code.
- Content Management Systems (CMS) – Experience with WordPress, Drupal, or custom documentation portals.
- Diagramming Tools – Creating system architecture diagrams using Lucidchart, Draw.io, or Visio.
4. Programming & Technical Knowledge
- Basic Coding Knowledge – Understanding programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Command Line & Scripting – Navigating terminals and using scripts for automation.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) – Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps workflows.
- Cloud & SaaS Technologies – Understanding AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for documentation purposes.
- APIs & Web Technologies – Knowledge of JSON, REST, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
5. Research & Content Strategy
- Information Architecture – Organizing documentation for easy navigation.
- SEO & Search Optimization – Writing documentation optimized for search engines and internal knowledge bases.
- Usability Testing & Feedback Analysis – Gathering user feedback to improve documentation.
- Competitive Research – Analyzing similar products to enhance documentation quality.
6. Soft Skills
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness in documentation.
- Time Management & Multitasking – Handling multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Adaptability & Continuous Learning – Keeping up with new software trends and technologies.
