As Technical Writer - Training Content Developer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation and training that contributes to the overall success of our Fluence products. In this role, you will:
- Work collaboratively with new product/program development in creating new technical documents and/or training modules, obtaining an in-depth understanding of our products and what customers need to know to be successful.
- Author multiple documentation and training packages tied to support Fluence products, with particular focus on datasheets and manuals for installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Sustain all current documentation by taking on work requests for updates, corrections, and additions needed.
- Develop a strong understanding of document structure, the subject matter, formal grammar rules, and departmental and industry procedural and stylistic standards.
- Follow standard guidelines as per International Technical Writing Standards.
- Work with Engineering and Subject Matter Experts to obtain content.
- Collaborate with the team to increase efficiency and reduce product development cycle time.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of technical writing experience.
- Ability to write clear, easy-to-understand documents depicting highly technical subjects.
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical writing standards and processes. Familiarity with Microsoft Manual of Style and international technical writing standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and projects concurrently, in a global technical business environment.
- Exhibit excellent grammar and composition skills.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence & SharePoint.
- Working knowledge in authoring tools and single-source content development, like Madcap Flare or FrameMaker.
- Practical experience with Training Development or Learning System.
- Preferred background in industrial systems and/or clean energy.
