The Challenge Ahead:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining high-quality documentation across our internal and external knowledge bases. You will ensure that our documentation is accessible, engaging, and up-to-date for both technical and non-technical audiences. If you are passionate about simplifying complex information and creating content that empowers users, we would love to hear from you!

What's in it for you:

  • Professional Growth: Develop a versatile skill set in technical writing, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and marketing.
  • Creative Freedom: Enjoy autonomy in crafting content that reflects our brand voice. You'll have the flexibility to experiment with visuals, formatting, and creative content layouts.
  • Impact: Directly contribute to customer satisfaction and product success by providing documentation that simplifies complex topics, thereby reducing user friction and improving product usability.
  • Access to Resources: Leverage industry-standard tools and processes to create, edit, and manage technical documentation. You'll also have the chance to engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Collaborative Environment: Be a part of a dynamic, supportive team that values knowledge sharing, open communication, and continuous improvement.

What Will You Do:

  • Document New Features: Work closely with product managers and developers to create accurate, user-friendly guides and technical content on new features and updates. You will cover both internal and external documentation, ensuring the smooth rollout of content that supports our continuous deployment model.
  • Maintain Knowledge Bases: Regularly update our internal and external wikis with the latest information. This includes managing content through standard processes to ensure consistency and reliability, such as initial drafts, feedback incorporation, and final publishing.
  • Adapt Content for Various Audiences: Tailor documentation to meet the needs of different users, from customers to internal teams. You will create content that ranges from simple, step-by-step guides to complex, technical articles and marketing-focused pieces that attract potential customers.
  • Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Follow our company’s grammar and style guidelines to produce clear, concise, and error-free documentation. This involves thorough editing, incorporating screenshots and visual elements, and collaborating with subject matter experts for peer reviews and approvals.
  • Stay Current and Future-Proof Content: As part of our team, you’ll continuously monitor and update older documents, aligning them with product updates and new technologies.
  • Support a Diverse Learning Audience: Cater to different learning styles by including visual aids, step-by-step instructions, and practical examples. You will ensure our guides are intuitive, accessible, and accommodating for all types of users.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Experience in creating technical documentation, ideally within the SaaS technology sector or VOIP industry.
  • Native English language competency including reading, writing, and copy editing. Proficient with common documentation creation and management tools, with experience in the Intercom documentation module or Notion being a plus.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately.
