Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Technical Writer in Plantation, FL for our Corporate Facilities team that will play a meaningful role in developing, maintaining, and improving documentation that supports the Hub Facilities team's day-to-day operations. This position will report to the Director, Regional Facilities; the ideal candidate has strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional Team Members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all documentation.
What You'll Do:

  • Develop, write, and edit clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, process flows, and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain process documentation, internal guides, and policy summaries.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and team leaders to capture information and translate sophisticated processes into user-friendly documents.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with internal standards for tone, structure, and formatting.
  • Regularly audit and update existing materials to reflect current practices, policy changes, handbooks, and system updates.
  • Implement version control and ensure documents are organized, accessible, and easy to navigate.
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives by maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning materials.
  • Solicit feedback from users to improve the usability and clarity of documentation.
  • Recommend modifications to the daily operations of the internal team.
  • Help establish documentation standard processes and promote consistency across the team.


What You'll Bring:

  • 2-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or content development (internships or project work acceptable).
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • Ability to understand and simplify technical or complex processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Lucidchart, Visio, Smartsheet, or similar.


Physical Requirements:

  • Have the capacity to lift and carry objects, equipment, or supplies, which can range from light items (less than 10 pounds) to heavier items (up to 50 pounds or more)
  • The ability to move around the facility, including walking, events, standing, and possibly climbing stairs
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods, as well as sit for desk work and administrative duties
