Job Summary:
Performs a variety of activities and serves as a subject matter expert ensuring the company supply chain fully complies with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and all other local, national and international regulatory requirements.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assign proper Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) to PF and CPC products in accordance with EU/UK, US, SG and AU Lists and apply appropriate controls in Orbit.
- Classify PF products against UK/EU Tariff, assign codes and maintain Orbit data base.
- Complete Intrastat with appropriate Tariff for GB, Liege/Belgium, Ireland etc., update Orbit and liaise with the Finance team.
- Complete Tariff requests for imports, assign codes and update Orbit and the Tariff data base.
- Maintain Master Blocked List
- Maintain Tariff data base, update Orbit and the data base with any changes to UK Tariff Numbers.
- Assist with Tariff, ECCN and technical requests or queries.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Global Compliance procedures.
- Assisting Trade Compliance Team with regulatory issues and inquiries.
- Keep up to date with specific EU/UK and U.S. Government laws and regulations, to include SG Control Lists.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
- Technical experience and/or qualification in electronic engineering/electronic components.
- Must have excellent organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have good communication skills at all levels.
- Must have strong Excel skills.
- Must be willing to keep up-to-date with appropriate export compliance developments.
Key Challenges:
- Maintain accurate trade data on high number of items, meeting high Service Level Agreement standards.
- Ability to recognize, analyse and offer solutions to compliance problems or involve necessary people to ensure the problem is properly resolved.
- Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of specific EU/UK and U.S. Government laws and regulations.
