Develops, educates and enables the Company’s solution strategy throughout the theater focusing on strategically significant accounts and opportunities within the Panduit Solutions. Works with the Strategic/Territory Account Manager to identify, develop and close opportunities at a district, regional and theater level. Serves as the technical solution expert within the field complimenting the Strategic/Territory Account Manager by providing technical guidance and ownership of the opportunities. Keeps up to date on current technologies, techniques, and processes for Panduit’s offering, solutions, and infrastructure management. Builds relationships with key account stakeholders on a technical level and provides technical linkage between the customer and Panduit Business Units.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies and qualifies opportunity early in the process via close interaction with the account team and understands the customers’ business issues/needs. Requires Technical Systems Engineer (TSE) management guidance for less than 25% of opportunities mainly those with high potential revenue. (30%)
- Architects solutions ranging from simple to complex, individually or within a team. Understands when to involve the relevant Professional Services for the design. Works on solutions for national opportunities / Large Named Accounts in multiple states or countries. (25%)
- Provides product/technical training to Account Managers to update them on the latest product developments. Provides regular training to Distributors/Channel Partners/System Integrators to keep them abreast of the advantages of Panduit offerings. Supports regional trade shows and seminars. (20%)
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with customers and partners in support of opportunities, owns all technical aspects and provide technical guidance. Trusted advisor to at least 5 Large Named Accounts. (15%)
- Utilizes CRM to communicate regular updates to the account team on opportunities and to drive opportunities. (10%)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required Degree: Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
- 8 – 10 years of directly related experience in identifying and promoting professional services to augment solutions growth
- 5 years experience in the distribution channel and direct channel.
- Excellent communicator of technical topics and subjects to a technical and non-technical audience including technical presentations to a large number of people. Presents to <10 people.
- Technical experience in the market and relevant industry certification(s) (.i.e., Cisco, BICSI, Rockwell).
- Ability to learn quickly and maintain a wide portfolio of solutions as the technical expert in 2 to 5 product sets.
- Be self-motivated and willing to learn and embrace new technology via self-teaching as well as formal certification. Educates wider account management team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to develop solutions which address and solve real customer needs and issues
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop, prove, and document the conclusions and/or solutions
- Ability to respond to technical inquiries from co-workers and customers
- Ability to educate and train customer on leading-edge solutions within the Data Center market space including how Panduit partners complement the overall solution.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, and engineering specifications
- Ability to collaborate and involve Panduit Professional services to address and identify customer issues.
- Ability to understand customer issues/needs in a pressurized environment and be able to summarize key points quickly via documentation and/or verbally.
- Ability to articulate the components of the Data Center, Enterprise and Industrial Automation environment and how managing and designing these components centrally can provide tangible benefits (depending on role).
- Ability to understand the latest technology offerings from Enterprise, Industrial Automation; and Datacenter partners such as Cisco, Tridium, General Cable, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, EMC, IBM, Emerson, Fluke Networks, Intel, and VMWare. The latest technologies should include the benefits of pre-configured solutions, telco closet design, pathway deployment, Enterprise switch deployment, deploying Industrial Ethernet, methodologies, Virtual Desk Infrastructure (VDI), Thermal consideration and feeds/speeds of data center components/network connectivity.
- Ability to understand Panduit product specifications, industry specifications such as ANSI/EIA/TIA, ISO, IEEE, NEC and BICSI standards. Expand relationships and influences within the Architect, Consultant and Engineer community.
- Data Center & Enterprise TSE: Understand the advantages and disadvantages of passive and active management. Understand the role of hardware and software in the infrastructure management solution; and software in the DCIM solution.
- OEM TSE: Understand the latest automated tooling and process improvement requirements within the Electrical and Industrial Infrastructure markets. Panduit’s target markets such as consumer goods, heavy industries, and Oil & Gas.
- IA TSE: An understanding of the underlying protocols such as DeviceNet and ControllerNet is a benefit. Understand the benefits of the Industrial Automation solution and be able to adapt the Panduit solution to meet the customers’ needs/issues.

- Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice within the Theater via air or road. 50%
