In this Technical Support role, you provide business support across all activities within the zone and will be responsible for administration support to District operational, Connections and HV Faults activities, including time writing and District management reporting KPI’s.
What you’ll be doing
Documentation Management:
- Organize and maintain files and records related to technical projects and operations.
- Prepare and update technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Data Entry and Database Management:
- Enter and update data in various databases and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of technical data, project details, and operational metrics.
- Generate reports and summaries from database information as required.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and site visits for technical staff.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings and events.
Technical Support:
- Assist technical staff with administrative tasks related to project management and operations. Including but not limited to ordering of materials, creating and updating purchase orders, processing data and closure of projects
- Provide support in preparing technical presentations and materials.
- Handle inquiries and provide information related to technical projects and operations.
Communication:
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
- Communicate effectively with technical staff, district managers, and external stakeholders.
- Relay important information and updates to relevant parties.
What you will bring
- Planning and Organising skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Significant all-round administrative experience
- Able to operate at all levels of the business
- Working knowledge of Business IT systems
- Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
- Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.
- Developed Customer Service skills
- Familiarity with MS suite of systems
- Knowledge of SAP system
Minimum Criteria
- Full UK Drivers license
- Experience in a multi-stranded project support/co-ordination role or significant equivalent experience
- PC literate – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Experience in SAP, CCT and IRIS systems
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard
- Computer literacy – e.g. Microsoft Office suite
