Job description.
For the PPG PC department in Denmark, we are looking for a Field technical Representative to join our PC Danish Team.
You will be part of a strong technical team which provides onsite technical assistance and advice during surface preparation and application of PPG products, as well as assessment of the performance of the applied coating system in service. By advising and monitoring the actual coating conditions on site, the Technical Services Representative team plays a key role in the successful performance of the applied coating system.
Over 250 Technical Service Representatives are working for the different affiliates of PPG, providing technical services whenever required.
Travel days must be considered. Exact traveling days depends on project locations and can varied over the year.
Depending on your location, you will be working from your home office, which also can be your daily starting point.
Purpose

To provide technical advice and support on site (assist the contractors in achieving optimal application standards to ensure optimal performance of our products)

To confirm whether the specified standards & technical requirements are followed.

To assist our sales team with preparation of specifications (make sure that the specifications meet the technical standards)

To Participate and conduct test applications of new and existing coatings (ensure that customers are trained in application of our coatings)

To provide sound technical advice and support to ext. / int. Customers

To monitor and report the actual standards and application conditions on site

To provide feed-back from the field
The Candidate
We are looking for a result orientated, dedicated, independent, self-driven self-motivated person. You have strong communication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization in a multicultural environment.

You speak, read, and write fluent Danish

You are good at reading, speaking, and writing in English.

You have experience with coating inspection and QC work.

You have good knowledge to the ISO 12944 standard as well as Norsok M-501 standard.

You have driver license to category B
-
You have good knowledge and can handle different types of application equipment e.g., Airless spray pumps, metallization equipment and abrasive blast cleaning equipment.

You have good knowledge to passive fire protection and tank linings.
