You will use your previous experience as a Senior Case Manager or Technical Specialist to coach team members and provide creative and strategic advice in accordance with workers compensation guidelines. This exciting role requires a motivated self-starter to provide technical support and advice to Case Managers

This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Perth office, with flexibility to work from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and maintain compliance with policies and procedures, including the application and implementation of amendments.
  • Developing effective working relationships with the claims teams to identify areas for operational improvement across multiple client portfolios
  • Establishing effective mechanisms for providing technical feedback ,updates and learnings (individual and team level), while identifying continuous improvement opportunities to find solutions which maximise the effectiveness of case management.
  • Ensure claims teams achieve key performance targets as set out as part of the business unit performance framework while providing guidance and leading discussion on technical aspects of the claim with stakeholders.
  • Provide regular advice and feedback to Case Managers and Team Leaders to improve overall quality of decisions relating to liability, work capacity, permanent impairment, weekly payment entitlements and communication through effective training, quality reviews and management of disputes.
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) is advantageous but not mandatory
  • 5 years Experience in Personal Injury, managing claims with an understating of the operational application of WA workers compensation legislation
  • Customer service experience, managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
  • Experience with using strategic thinking to coach, mentor and support claims teams
  • Effective oral and written communication skills along with excellent presentation skills
  • Superior time management
