Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Technical Specialist I based at our Berea, KY location.
Who you are:
- One who is expected to deliver technical deliverables and/or counsel.
- Driven to ensure architectural fit, global consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement of technologies that sustain and promote IT excellence.
- Able to work with the business and IT analysts to complete assigned tasks, including implementing BPI visions as well as maintaining and enhancing existing systems.
- Capable of converting business requirements into solutions, following project management and development procedures, and providing specialist applications technical expertise. Examples of application technical specialist classifications include software development, programming, and leveraging systems tools.
What you will do:
- Technical Specialty: Install, develop, monitor, troubleshoot, and support.
- Follow established standards for consistency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Provide timely assistance to supervisors in resolving issues during crisis situations.
- Communicate regularly and collaborate with other technology groups.
- Improve existing processes, capabilities, and cost savings at all times as directed by supervisors. Suggest ideas for improvement.
- With the assistance of managers and supervisors, manage personal work tasks and communicate work activities.
What you will need:
- A bachelor’s degree is beneficial.
- Strong partnership skills: coaching, influencing, problem-solving, and consulting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of installation, monitoring, repair, specifications, program development, assessment, implementation, problem definition, and resolution.
