Position Description

Deque is looking for a motivated and skilled Technical Solutions Strategist to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Solutions Strategist at Deque, you will be directly interfacing with the customer to understand their needs, and leverage your consulting expertise along with deep knowledge of Deque products to help implement the best solution to address customer needs. You will play a crucial role in implementing tools with APIs and third-party plugins, conducting product demonstrations, and educating a diverse range of customers—from developers to C-level executives. Your ability to empathize with customers and quickly discern their technical needs will be key to your success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives and internal stakeholders to understand clients' goals and reasons for purchasing the tool.
  • Lead technical discussions and deep dives with customers to understand their product development workflow and tech stack.
  • Guide customers toward optimal implementation of axe Products, leveraging best practices based on their workflow, tech stack, and environment.
  • Develop customer enablement materials such as implementation roadmaps, presentation materials, workflow diagrams, and FAQs to ensure wide-scale adoption and continual renewal of Deque products.
  • Demonstrate the ease of use and quality of Deque’s tools, and enable customers to provide ROI-based cases to their leadership.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally to help shape the product roadmap, offering feedback on trends and product enhancement suggestions.
  • Proactively identify, document, and escalate risks that could lead to customer dissatisfaction and/or churn.
  • Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong consulting skills with a proven ability to effect change.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
    • Web development (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks like React, Angular, Django).
    • Mobile development (iOS, Android).
    • Backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby).
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline components.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferred.
