Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Technical Sales Representative, we have an exciting opportunity for you! You will be based in our Kingsgrove Sydney, NSW office. This position is the key customer focal point for technical/commercial inquiries, account management, business development, and product strategies for a prime OEM account.   The candidate should have a strong power generation and engine systems product background with a proven strategic product and customer growth track record.  This position reports to Senior Sales Manager have key responsibilities and visibility within Woodward as well as a strong growth track.

What you will be doing… 

  • Identifies and develops new strategic business opportunities with existing and/or new customers
  • Composes and executes opportunity win-strategy
  • Responsible for the development of complex multi-year account plans
  • Identifies, maintains, and documents strategic relationships inside the account and outside the account, meeting price, margin and growth targets with assigned accounts
  • Provides input regarding customer needs to the demand forecasting process
  • Accountable for forecasting revenue for profit plan, LRP and quarterly forecast freeze
  • Accountable to overcome shortfalls to revenue forecast
  • Leads account reviews (internal and external) regarding customer relationship management, SQDRC scorecards, forecast, margin maintenance, identify and mitigate potential business risks
  • Leads cross-functional teams through development and approval of proposals, including presentation to customer
  • Establishes proposal pricing strategies and cost targets
  • Develops the negotiation strategy for initial and renewal/extension contracts, agreements, terms, and conditions in close collaboration with Contract Operations Managers
  • Gathers, communicates, and develops strategies to act in response to market intelligence and competition.
  • Supports PMO to ensure successful execution of new product introduction programs
  • Responsible for follow up, negotiating business agreement/ payment terms; working closely with Contracts Administration on remaining terms (e.g., standard terms and conditions) of contract

What We Are Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in a commercial role with extensive knowledge in power generation, engine systems.
  • Preferably previous experience with ComAp, DeepSea, Woodward or DEIF controllers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Salary Range

$ 150,000 AUD - $ 160,000 AUD
