Why we're hiring:
We are seeking a detail-driven resource planner to drive the Technical Product Management of Projects in HeavyBid Pre-Construction, our project tracking & backlog management solution for the heavy civil construction industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management themselves and can turn that experience into a great software user-experience for HCSS customers. This role will be pivotal in working with current customers while delivering a roadmap focused on major re-design and workflow updates for the year.
To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Learn the ins-and-outs of preconstruction project management for heavy civil contractors in North America
  • Take over ownership and responsibility for the development backlog for a team of 4-6 software engineering and QA professionals.
  • Perform discovery and validation of product backlog items alongside fellow Product team members and Design colleagues to prepare for upcoming iterations
  • Engage daily with the Development team for ongoing process and information refinement related to all past, present and future iteration content; unblock the team to ensure efficient progress
  • Work closely with fellow Technical Product Managers, your Group Product Manager, and Product Marketing Manager for the successful, coordinated release of all product roadmap components over the course of the year
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for internal stakeholders in order to radiate knowledge and information on product strategy and updates; unblock the creation of the customer-facing education
  • Engage directly with customers to build relationships that will allow for quick feedback loops during discovery and validation phases
  • Engage in formal and informal public speaking opportunities to inform or educate customers or internal stakeholders in-person or over virtual conferencing
  • Innovate systems for organization and engagement with product ideas, KPIs, and crucial stakeholder groups as needed


Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology; Profession Scrum Product Owner certification preferred (PSPO I)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, etc.); Google suite and Pendo experience preferred
  • Highly-detailed technical writing ability
