Reporting to the Everyday Products Chapter Lead, this Technical Product Manager will play a key role in the Everyday Products squad. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of CommBank’s everyday transaction account products. This includes maintaining, simplifying, and enhancing our products, and ensuring we continue to meet compliance obligations. As a member of the squad, you will support the Product Owner in developing & executing major initiatives to deliver against our business priorities. You will deliver exceptional customer and channel experiences, whilst also being responsible for ensuring changes are safely executed and risk outcomes are met.

More specifically, you will:         

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, workshop and document business requirements

  • Analyse and prioritise requirements to ensure alignment with business goals

  • Write clear and concise functional requirements and user stories with acceptance criteria

  • Work with the Product Owner to refine and update the backlog regularly

  • Proactively identify, understand, and manage risks, assumptions and dependencies across the business

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes, supported by a deep understanding of origination and in-life experiences across the value chain

  • Lead and execute change in partnership with delivery teams and a wide range of stakeholders, to continuously improve our product offerings and processes

  • Support engineers to deliver technical change documentation, testing, deployment and incident management activities.

We want to hear from people who have:

  • Previous experience in technical product management, or business analysis, within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of back-end systems and solutions, particularly in relation to SAP.

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance requirements and delivery standards.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA to track progress, manage tasks, and facilitate communication among team members.

  • Proven problem-solving skills coupled with confidence in making data-driven decisions

  • Advanced ability to drive outcomes and execute on a roadmap of initiatives

  • Risk Mindset – all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
