Remote/Hybrid - This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, or Milford], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role
General Motors Marketing Insights & Technology (MIT) team is seeking an individual who will leverage their experience and excitement for building marketing tools and technology to act as a Technical Product Manager. Are you someone who is passionate about building Marketing Technology (MarTech) products, working directly and deeply with business and technology stakeholders, defining a roadmap and executing on it with cross-functional teams? If so, this may be the role you are looking for! As a Product Manager, you will play a significant role in helping to bring together critical stakeholders to deliver relevant modern marketing tools for General Motors, and our iconic brands.
To be a successful Product Manager within the Marketing Insights & Technology, you'll be expected to be comfortable getting into and leading technical discussions, understanding technical concepts around marketing technology tools like data flow, workflow management, automation, content and asset management, and others. You will also need to be equally skilled and comfortable in defining roadmaps, building backlogs, defining sprint goals, prioritizing features and initiatives, and exciting and influencing teams and stakeholders around your vision and goals.
Build the future of omni-channel campaign creation and activation capabilities that allow our brand marketers and agencies to reach our customers where they are across the digital landscape. You'll build the tools and processes that marketers use to create modern campaigns, including multi-step journeys, and activate them across email, SMS, site experience, AdTech platforms, Asset Management (DAM), workflow and automation tools and more. You'll innovate and evangelize the future of marketing capabilities!
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Definition of product vision, roadmap, backlog, and strategic direction
- Collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external teams - with an ability to understand technical concepts in depth
- Collaborate across GM and within the MIT team to groom and define backlog and sprint plans
- Directly manage relevant technology, strategy, or agency vendor relationships
- Work closely with business and IT teams to ensure alignment of product roadmap, delivery, and vision
- Communicate and evangelize your product vision to executive leadership
- Foster collaborative relationships with key partners (i.e., business leaders, IT, Analytics) by driving priorities across business pillars
- Oversee and contribute to the development of feature requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria
- Support building any relevant business cases, quarterly business reviews, or presentations related to your domain, product or expertise area
- Contribute to PDMs overall Marketing Technology Product Management capability offering

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 5 years of relevant experience as a Product Manager, Solution Owner, Solution Architect
- A Bachelor's degree is required
- Deep understanding of core marketing functions and tools such as Adobe, Pega, Salesforce
- Comfortable in situations with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders in a complex org structure
- Hands on experience with Marketing Technology Platforms like CDP, DMP, DAM, CRM systems
- Experience leading teams cross-functionally
- Ability to mix technical and creative side of product management and marketing to create rationalized solutions
- High level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- Strong presentation skills
- This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate
Compensation:
- The salary range for this role is ($104,000 - $166,300). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
