Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring two Technical Implementation Associates to join our +Oscar team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

+Oscar is an engagement and automation platform that enables scalable, personalized interventions and automates workflows to drive growth and retention, improve patient/member outcomes, and optimize admin operations. Built for non-technical users, payors and providers can use the tool to build omni-channel “campaigns” that deliver interventions with multiple touch points over time to drive behavior change.

As a Technical Implementation Associate, you will be a member of the +Oscar team and will be responsible for core technical tasks and functions associated with building and launching campaigns. Your work will increase speed to market on client campaigns, reduce the time it takes to build and launch campaigns, and ensure campaigns remain error-free before and after launch.

You will report to a Director, Business Solutions.

Work Location:

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this is: $98,400 - $129,150 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical representative of +Oscar in relevant client calls, ensuring campaigns are scoped effectively and clients understand relevant technical capabilities.
  • Design and implement new campaign development processes while anticipating potential future use cases to ensure long-term scalability in solution design.
  • Become an expert in our client and campaign data, leveraging SQL to identify trends in client populations to deliver campaigns that drive value to their business.
  • Own and operate core client data pipeline — including building standardized data models, managing client data discussions, and reviewing data for accuracy.
  • Execute on operational tasks, such as building, reviewing and approving drafted Campaigns, Templates, and Automation scripts to ensure they drive intended business outcomes.
  • Aggregate and synthesize client insights and feedback to help influence Product roadmap.
  • Dive into data and systems using SQL to understand trends and troubleshoot client campaign issues with the Product and Engineering team.
  • Create and maintain documentation to make +Oscar operational processes sustainable and scalable.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in a cross-functional role in technology or operations, including work with product/engineering teams.
  • Previous experience partnering closely with marketing, technology, or operations teams.
  • You’ve demonstrated your ability to pick up technical concepts and have experience with SQL.
  • Previous client-facing experience.

Bonus Points

  • Previous healthcare experience.
