Your contribution:

  • Create business opportunities, support, and train Clarios independent aftermarket potential and existing customers on all aspects of vehicle batteries and car electronic systems.

  • Be a consultant to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd trade level customers on all technical aspects, current and future developments of battery technology and the impacts on the vehicles and the workshops.

  • Create and develop interest in our products, and ultimately sell all aspects of vehicle batteries through existing customers and potential new clients.

  • Initiate and run technical trial and other projects with potential customers.

  • Support the business and team with the necessary administrative tasks as required, to ensure the business and back office runs smoothly and is adequately supported. 

  • This position has a remote setup and requires traveling to primarily our Belgium customers, and reports to the Country Sales Manager BeNeLux.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Technical responsibilities

  • Conducting technical training in a variety of formats (for example, during customer visits, in group settings, to occasional conference style presentation on technical sales topics)

  • Conduct trainings on battery technologies, diagnostics, detailed fitting instructions as well as vehicle electronics systems

  • Performing Technical demonstrations and product trials

  • Handling technical and warranty queries

Sales responsibilities

  • Guide the customer from technical discussion through to sales closure on different levels from Mechanic to Managers

  • Conducting sales training to customers

  • Proactively develop sales discussions to ensure best product solution for customers’ needs.

  • Communicating on and presenting where necessary relevant sales and marketing concepts designed to develop customers business.

  • Supporting trade show representation

  • Providing general administrative support to back office (reporting tasks, creating tender support documents etc)

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Relevant Professional qualification in a technical, engineering, or commercial sales field and/or

  • 6 years of working experience in a sale and/or technical environment, preferred in the Automotive business.

  • Automotive, Commercial vehicle or Bus and Coach technical training experience desirable

  • Strong technical understanding and capacity to engage on technical topics.

  • Experience of utilizing technology in the delivery of training such as webinars, social media

  • Commercial acumen

  • Full Driving License and willingness to travel flexibly across a wide area.

  • Self-starter, able to generate own appointments and develop technical discussions into sales opportunities.

  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills on different target groups.

  • Language: Ability to communicate in a professional matter in Flemish, French and English

  • Team player

  • MS Office package skills
