SailPoint is seeking a Technical Educator to join the Education and Community team. In this role, you will play a key part in educating and empowering SailPoint's customers, partners, and internal teams on our Identity Security Cloud and IdentityIQ platforms. Your knowledge and expertise will be essential in delivering in-depth expert-led technical education across all proficiency levels through diverse methods, including instructor-led and community engagement. Achieving expert-level knowledge and certification in Identity Security Cloud or IdentityIQ will be crucial for providing comprehensive and impactful technical education sessions.
Responsibilities:• Attain and maintain expert-level knowledge and certification (up to Engineer Level) in IdentityIQ or Identity Security Cloud.• Deliver comprehensive, expert-led technical educational sessions on SailPoint products, covering basic, intermediate, and advanced levels tailored to diverse technical audiences, including engineers, implementers, administrators, and solution architects.• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to continuously enhance and update training materials and certification exams, ensuring that content remains current, relevant, and aligned with the learning needs of Identity University's diverse technical audiences.• Participate in Compass Community advocacy efforts by sharing technical insights and best practices in identity security through forums, webinars, and other company-sponsored events.• Contribute to enhancing SailPoint's reputation as a thought leader in identity security.• Occasionally travel to customer premises to deliver onsite training, with expected travel time less than 25%.
Requirements:• Identity Security professional or engineer certified. Priority given to SailPoint Certified Professionals.• Demonstrated experience delivering technical education sessions to diverse technical audiences.• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance technical education materials and ensure alignment with product capabilities and customer needs.• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.• End-to-end responsibility on projects of increasing complexity.• Persistent and creative in the face of roadblocks and takes proactive initiative to solve problems.
Preferred:• Practical experience in identity security, information technology, or a related technical field.• Experience with Java, Python or equivalent language.• Experience with XML, HTML, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, Application Servers.• Experience with REST client tools like Postman.• Experience with Databases/SQL (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, DB2).• Experience with Directories (LDAP, AD).• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.• Proficiency in multiple languages.• Experience collaborating and engaging with professional communities.
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$67,200 - $96,000 - $124,800
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
