Overview

The role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the software development efforts of key products in the APAC region for TNS Payment Markets Division.  The role will lead the development and engineering team in the continuous development, improvement, deployment and support of our Accept and Orchestrate product portfolios. The key teams to manage are related to TNS’s product offering like Payment Orchestration, Payment Gateway, Parking Solutions, Terminal Development and Cloud Infrastructure/Cloud team.  

Responsibilities

The role is accountable for the full end-to-end software development lifecycle including:

  • Instilling and driving a delivery focused culture while promoting a creative and high performing environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and leadership to the development team.
  • Lead the teams and continuously strive to improve the processes
  • Work closely with TNS Customers and various internal groups to map the priorities, define the scopes, efforts and deliver on the agreed timeframe.   
  • Reinforce developmental best practices for quality assurance and deployment
  • Work closely with the Product, QA, Operations, Architectural, Security and DevOps teams to ensure a seamless product life cycle is achieved.  
  • Develop short and long-range strategic software architectural vision and implement that vision
  • Establish key performance metrics and goals for all team members.
  • Administer and maintain departmental operating and capital budgets in compliance with company directives and timelines in order to deliver against product road map
  • Optimize software development costs and staffing levels in order to support development surges while minimizing idle time
  • Manage the outsourcing relationship with our partners  
  • Continuously improve TNS software security posture and comply with policies and procedures of TNS

The role will require you to demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership, experience in the payments domains. Accountability in the role comes from delivering outcomes and requires an individual with a results-driven mindset to drive the success of the development team, requiring an ability to work in a global matrixed environment to deliver results and objectives.

You will be responsible for defining the regional software vision and strategy, aligning it with the company's overall goals and market opportunities by establishing a clear direction for the solution stack. You will be accountable for supporting revenue growth, profitability growth / improvement and expanding the company's market presence by delivering innovative products that meet customer needs and outpace competitors. Influential Leadership: Build and nurture relationships across all levels of the organization, including the Payment Market divisional leadership team.

    • Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to prioritize features and development efforts.
  • Technology Strategy:
    • Define the technology stack and architecture to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
    • Lead the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to enhance development efficiency.
    • Efficiently manage the product technical debt alongside the Roadmap and Sales projects to ensure that we do not have high technical debt.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure and improve engineering productivity, quality, and performance.
    • Implement processes and tools to streamline software development, testing, and deployment.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards across all software projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the executive team to align engineering initiatives with business strategy.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors, regarding technical strategy and progress.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
