About the Role:

Vercel is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to drive technical strategy, adoption, and long-term success for our most valuable Enterprise customers. As a named account owner, you will act as the technical lead, ensuring customers adopt Vercel-first solutions, follow best practices, and optimize their architectures for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing technical success initiatives, proactively identifying customer challenges, and using a suite of tools and motions to drive adoption and optimization. You will play a critical role in influencing customer decisions, driving them to adopt best practices, championing web excellence, and ensuring they achieve long-term success on Vercel.

You will also collaborate with Customer Success Managers to align technical strategy with business objectives, and partner with Product and Engineering to remove blockers and provide structured feedback to enhance Vercel’s platform and offerings.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the technical strategy for a portfolio of Enterprise accounts, ensuring customers maximize the value of Vercel.
  • Advocate for Vercel-first solutions, ensuring customers align their technical decisions with best practices.
  • Lead technical reviews and performance assessments, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Influence customer adoption of Vercel features, guiding their teams through implementation and best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success Managers, Product, and Engineering to resolve customer challenges and drive long-term success.
  • Provide structured technical feedback to internal teams, influencing roadmap priorities based on customer needs.
  • Drive strategic technical initiatives within key accounts, helping customers scale and optimize their projects.
  • Contribute to internal enablement efforts, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve effectiveness of the Field Engineering org.

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in frontend development, solutions engineering or a related role.
  • Expertise in Enterprise-level Next.js, React, and modern web performance best practices.
  • Strong ability to diagnose complex technical challenges and provide structured recommendations for optimization.
  • Experience guiding customers through best practices, scalability strategies, and architectural decisions.
  • Proven ability in driving technical strategy for high-value technical migrations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Passion for helping customers succeed and advocating for technical excellence.

Bonus If You:

  • Have experience working with Vercel Enterprise, Next.js, or similar frontend hosting platforms.
  • Have a background in web performance, Core Web Vitals, and large-scale frontend applications.
  • Understand incident management, procedural communication, and enterprise-level technical consulting.
  • Have contributed to open-source projects, technical documentation, or developer enablement
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment with global teams.

The San Francisco, CA pay range for this role is $149,000.00 - $264,000.00 OTE. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
