POSITION OVERVIEW

Manage designated Regional & International suppliers related to pricing, contracting, sourcing, supplier developments in alignment to Quality, Logistics, Costs and Technology requirements (QLTC).

Manage new supplier selection process and deliver required new product development(NPD) and Supplier Product Development (SPD) in collaboration with the application engineering & Product Management team in the Netherlands.   Contribute, Cost Effiency Program, continuous Improvement(CEP) a, contributions related to your designated suppliers.

You will work closely with our operational buyer, Supply Chain Manager, work planners, and be part of the Supply Chain department. The work location is in Bergschenhoek at our modern workshop.

 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Supplier Account Management & Cost Optimizations

  • Manage your purchase in alignment of the strategy in order to achieve best landed costs beside ensuring that quality, technology & logistics requirements are fulfilled
  • Manage supplier relations through periodic meetings, bi-annual or annual management reviews, visit documentation and site meetings;
  • Manage contracting, including NDA, MBA and exhibits;
  • Ensure supplier and product compliance;
  • Negotiate to meet company targets.
  • Support escalations towards suppliers on request of the local commodity buyer/Project Buyers
  • Support escalations on continuous supplier QLTC underperformance;
  • Manage your purchases within the AVL list, while proactively work on AVL optimization proposals within the category (# suppliers, overall AVL performance in Quality, Logistics, Technology & Costs, Sustainability, Compliance, Risk)
  • Manage the relationship with your suppliers to achieve a collaborative work environment with suppliers, defining our vision & key strategy with them, as well as involve them in our CEP program as well future technology challenge solutions.


Projects / Initial Sourcing

  • Ensure procurement delivery to the project on deadline and with the right quality, reporting activities to the Supply Chain Manager
  • Execute supplier development within your commodity working with global as well as regional supply chain teams (quality, planning, logistics) as well as PMD teams to setup a well performing & good quality, optimized cost supply base.
  • Design influencing activities, towards engineering, to ensure the best design for supply chain;
  • Ensure correct supplier-part combination to ensure QLTC performance both short- and long-term;
  • Execute the RFQ phase for all category-related materials within the project;
  • Scout new suppliers to fill vendor gaps.


ERP Administration

  • Ensure upto date and transparent Master data for suppliers (price, MOQ, lead time)
  • Support local procurement buyers and management with specialism in ERP;
  • Responsible for data administration/data entry;
  • Support the local organization in collection and analysis of ERP data.


OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Level: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience working as a buyer, procurement specialist, or in a similar role within the mechanical engineering industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers. Knowledge and Experience of Materials, process & costing will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel , Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good English proficiency, presentation, and communication skills
