Role Description        

This role is for a member of the Business Systems Analysis (BSA) team. 
 

Job Role Requirements

Change Control and Data Quality 

  • Software UAT testing and sign off for implementation to the Live Production service. This will involve careful planning and working with the Client Service and Development teams to plan and scope the change required. The testing of that release and generating and sharing test reports for internal and external consumption 
  • Manage and maintain appropriate configurations relating to BARB data. 
  • Support and work closely with other BARB teams to explain changes needed to the service 
  • Work closely with the Client Services Team and Data Operations teams to ensure that there is a clear audit trail detailing changes that were made in the processing environment and understanding their impact on the data. 
  • Ensure any workstreams are given a clear delivery date and that dates are adhered to (Any dates missed are subject to SLA fines). 
  • Lead in the correction and delivery of any reported data issues 
  • Ensuring that additional checking takes place before data is released especially following software and configuration changes. Some of this will involve occasions where cover at weekends is needed. 
  • Aid in debugging and correcting any issues within the reported data. Working closely with the Development team where changes to software may be required. 

Communication 

  • Client report writing, specifically Incident Reports where issues may be detected within the service 
  • Work with the Client Services team to respond to queries from various stakeholders and ensure queries are answered in a timely manner 
  • Attend Client meetings both in person and remotely as a representative of Kantar 

Role Requirements

  • Technically versatile, you will be able to come up to speed quickly on the systems used to collect and process the ratings data. 
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Excel. 
  • Proficiency with SQL (particularly SQL server for Oracle) 
  • Proficiency with Python. 
  • Experience with Azure- preferred but not required 
  • Airflow/Cloud computing- preferred but not required 
  • Abilities to lead and own workstreams from start to finish. 
  • The ideal candidate will be curious, persevering to understand an issue fully, digging deeper into the data 
  • Good written documentation and reporting skills 
  • An excellent eye for detail 
  • Highly numerate with an analytical approach, enjoys working with data. 
  • You will have a flexible approach to work. 
  • You will be organised, proactive and able to work using your own initiative. 
  • Ability to work effectively with conflicting priorities demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
